The link above is one of the places you can buy this ‘affordable’ 4k video camera. (You can’t buy they from new any more but there’s an active 2nd hand market for what will be a good value piece of kit now.)
For about £5200 +vat you can have the body. I think the recording and frame rate options are attractive from a wildlife filming point of view. I might just get one of these and become a hobby cameraman, doing my own thing. More likely is that I will decide having such a camera sitting around at home doing precious little because I am too busy actually working is not sensible. I gather that the Beeb have bought lots of these for staff to use.
