Newport Film School (as it was called)

Newport Film School

I came across an article about Newport Film School a while ago but the link to it ‘became unsafe’ apparently. I was really pleased to find that I was actually mentioned in it quite favourably.  Cyril Moorhead, then head of the BBC Film Unit at Bristol, advised me to go on this course, and it was one of the best bits of advice I’ve ever been given.  As it happened it took me down the editing route, which must be relatively unusual for a wildlife cameraman – glad I went that way though.

Since then I’ve discovered that Newport Film School has a Wikipedia entry (on the link above). When I was there it was one of a handful of film making courses in the UK. Now, I imagine most higher education establishments have one.
